Lovelocks Witness is a proven UK high-goal mare, having competed in several prestigious tournaments. She played the 2024 Cartier Queen’s Cup with Charlie Hanbury for La Dolfina and competed in the 2026 Warwickshire Cup with Toly Ulloa.
Her sire, Ellerston Clarin, is an Ellerston-bred stallion combining the proven genetics of Machitos Diez and the outstanding Australian mare Claret. His dam, Claret, played the 2005 Argentine Open at Palermo with Pablo MacDonough before travelling to the UK, where she played three high-goal seasons with Facundo Pieres, playing two chukkers in every match. She was awarded Best Playing Pony in the 2009 UK Gold Cup Final before returning to Argentina, where she played the Argentine Triple Crown in 2009, 2010 and 2011 with Facundo Pieres. A cornerstone broodmare at Ellerstina, among her most notable offspring is Open Yquem, winner of multiple BPP awards in UK high-goal polo with Gonzalo Pieres.
