Meet Charlie, founder of Lovelocks
Since establishing the Lovelocks stud in 2010, Lovelocks has become one of the driving forces in modern polo breeding. Combining generations of expertise with exceptional instinct, they have achieved remarkable success, including winning the Best Playing Pony award at the Argentine Open 2024 & 2025.
Charlie oversees the Lovelocks breeding programme across England and Argentina, working closely with teams and clients around the world to advise on breeding decisions, bloodline strategy, and performance optimisation.
The Stud
With two bases; a farm on the Berkshire/Wiltshire border and a stud near Lobos in the Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, Lovelocks has become one of the most influential breeders of the modern era. Renowned for producing high-performance polo ponies, the stud combines world-class breeding expertise with access to industry-leading technology, setting the benchmark for excellence in the sport.
