Her sire, Nutbush, was imported directly from Ellerston, Australia, at the age of two. His sire, Hermitage, was selected by Ellerston as a successor to the renowned Norman Pentaquad and Monty, two stallions that played a major role in establishing the reputation of the Ellerston breeding programme. Nutbush is out of Tango, an important Ellerstina broodmare and dam of Music, who played the Argentine Triple Crown with Facundo Pieres in 2005 and 2006 before competing in the UK in 2007 and 2008. 

Her dam, Lovelocks Illusive, is a UK high-goal playing mare, winner of the BPP at the Prince of Wales Trophy in 2019 and the BPP at the Tramontana Cup (Gold Cup Semi-Finals) in 2020 with Gonzalo Pieres. She has produced eight offspring, with her most notable product being Lovelocks Faustinos (× Open El Padrino), an Argentine Triple Crown mare played by Juan Britos for La Ensenada in 2024 and 2025, and winner of the Best Playing Polo Argentino award in the 2024 Hurlingham Open Drysdale Cup Final. 

Illusive’s sire, Clark (Night Opera × Claret), is a La Irenita stallion and proven high-goal player, competing in the UK in 2013 and 2014 and in the Argentine Triple Crown in 2014 and 2015. His dam, Claret, played the 2005 Argentine Open at Palermo with Pablo MacDonough before travelling to the UK, where she played three high-goal seasons with Facundo Pieres, playing two chukkers in every match. She was awarded Best Playing Pony in the 2009 UK Gold Cup Final before returning to Argentina, where she played the Argentine Triple Crown in 2009, 2010 and 2011 with Facundo Pieres. A cornerstone broodmare at Ellerstina, among her most notable offspring is Open Yquem, winner of multiple BPP awards in UK high-goal polo with Gonzalo Pieres. 

Illusive’s dam, Grappa Ilusa (Rainbow Corner × Ilusion), played the Argentine Triple Crown in 2008 and was subsequently exported to the United Kingdom. Her sire, Rainbow Corner (Rainbow Quest × Kingscote), was an Ellerstina stallion who produced multiple Argentine Triple Crown players. Her dam, Ilusion (Catman × Pimienta), played the Argentine Triple Crown with Gonzalo Pieres, Gonzalo Pieres Jr. and Adolfo Cambiaso, and became one of Ellerstina’s most important broodmares, producing numerous Argentine Triple Crown horses.
